  Influencer profile: Peter Rojas
The last of the six influencer profiles for The New Influencers is now available for review. The subject is Peter Rojas, a remarkable young man who went from laid unemployed in 2002 to become one of the most successful bloggers in the world three years later. He has started not one, but two blogs in the Technorati top 10. He has posted more than 10,000 blog entries in four years (do the math; it's prolific). He's made millions from his work. And he's still just a regular, unassuming guy.

Comments:
I'm disappointed all your examples of influencers are male. Where are Charlene Li, Mena Trott, Susie Madrak, Teresa Nielsen Hayden, etc.?

It’s a reasonable observation, but not an intentional omission. In fact, the Mommycasters are profiled at some length in chapter eight, as is Audrey Reed-Granger of Whirlpool. Renee Blodgett is profiled in chapter 7 and BL Ochman will be featured in Chapter 10, yet to be posted.

The problem with the three example you cite is that they are not “influencers” in the context that I’m writing about. I’m not covering political bloggers because they’re not very relevant to marketers. Charlene is an analyst, Mena is a vendor and the other two are political or personal bloggers. They’re all great writers, but they’re not moving markets, so they’re outside of my scope. However, I admit it would have been good to feature a woman among the six profiles.
